I can't believe Cody and I have been married for an entire year already! Time flies when you're having fun! We had such a nice anniversary. We decided to cook dinner at home. Cody made dinner for me! We had steak and potatoes, and it was delicious! We saved the top tier of our wedding cake, and had that for dessert. It tasted ok. The cake was a little dry, and the icing a little soggy. Cody had an edible arrangement sent to me, with all kinds of chocolate covered fruit! (Just in case our cake was not as good as it was a year ago.) The arrangement was beautiful and delicious. I would recommend sending this to someone instead of flowers! It's so much fun to receive and eat! :)
Cody and I decided to stick with tradition and exchange gifts related to our "paper" anniversary. Cody gave be a Bible with my name engraved on it, and a lovely note inside. I made Cody a "time capsule" box. I bought a wooden box, glued pictures from our wedding and honeymoon over the entire box, and then coated it with a sealer. Inside the box, I filled it with memories from when we first met, when he proposed, our wedding, honeymoon, and details about our present lives. Then, I had us both fill out a questionnaire about our future. The answers were fun to compare. For example: I asked how many kids we would have. We both answered 4, 3 boys & 1 girl. However, we did not write down the same answer, regarding the names of our children. Cody thought we would name our kids: Roger, Randy, Ralph and Rita!!! I can only hope he was joking!
After dinner, we watched our wedding video! It was fun to look back and see all of the flowers and decorations, and how beautiful/handsome everyone looked. I want to take to time to thank everyone again for everything you did for us while were were engaged and planning the wedding, during the wedding, and for being there to support & love Cody and me during this first year of marriage. It means more to us than we can explain! You're all amazing!

Happy Anniversary, Tara and Cody. I think your anniversary celebration and gifts were some of the best I have ever heard. The edible flower arragement is really nice, also. We sent Melissa one for her birthday in March. You didn't tell us what names you picked, Tara. Let's see if you can come up with something a liitle better than Cody's Love you.
Happy 1st Anniversary! Sounds like you had a wonderful evening together.
Congratulations! By the way, that was one of the most fun wedding weekends I have been part of! Why am I not surprised that Cody fixed you steak and potatoes for your anniversary dinner? That just seems like a "Cody" kind of meal!! Was it as good as the steaks at the rehearsal dinner? Those were delicious!!
Happy Anniversary!!! I was thinking about it being your one year anniversary. I started working at Chappell Creek the Monday after the wedding and I have been there one year today. That is not as exciting an anniversary as yours!!! haha Love you both!
Tara and Cody, Happy Anniversary! Both of you just get cuter and cuter! Your wedding was absolutely beautiful and I know your life together will be beautiful also. Cody, I'm proud of you -- the Bible was the perfect gift -- you're a man after my own heart! Tara, what a precious and creative idea to give a memory decorated box. Some day your children will love looking at all the precious pictures. I love both of you as high as the sky! Nana 1
What a wonderful anniversary! I am so glad you guys had a nice celebration together.
Happy 1 year! maybe we can get Kyle to comment on his steak that he enjoyed at your rehersal dinner.
Happy Anniversary you two!! I hope your first year was memorable and fun.
What's the deal with Kyle's steak?
Well, Kyle ate the leftover steak at the rehearsal dinner that Nanee's teeth had fallen out on! I think nobody told him until after he had finished eating it!
Happy Anniversary! Glad all is well with you two. Keep your marriage grounded in Christ & your closeness will grow even closer.
I can promise you that I did NOT know about the teeth falling onto the steak. I think Nanee set me up?
The steaks were so wonderful that I hated to see what I thought was a perfectly good slab of meat go to waste so......I ate it.
Kyle
Happy Anniversary.
I had a great time all day on Monday thinking about the wedding. You are the only people I know that actually saved and ate you wedding cake. I LOVE the anniversary gifts. It will be hard to top those in the years to come.
