I had the privilege of climbing in and on this apache helicopter. It quite an amazing machine. One has to respect the pilots, mechanics, fuelers and engineers that created this helicopter. "Army Strong"

Good Recipe
Scalloped Potato Recipe
- 3 Tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 to 2 teaspoons salt - ( I think 2 tsp is too salty)
- pepper to taste
- 3 cups milk
- 6 cups thinly sliced potatoes
In a saucepan, melt butter , stir in flour until smooth and bubbly. Stir in milk gradually. Stir and until thick and bubbly. Add salt and pepper.
Put potatoes in a 12x8 inch baking dish that has been heavily sprayed with Pam. Pour sauce over the potatoes and gently mix so the sauce covers the potatoes. Bake, uncovered, at 375 got 45 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender
Serves 6-8

Nana gets Favorite Teacher Award
Since Nana is too humble to announce her award to anyone, I will take the liberty.
Nana was recently voted as the "Favorite Teacher" of the entire high school by the CTCS students. The award was presented to her along with a plaque. This is obviously a well deserved award and especially impressive since she only teaches a couple periods a day.
Congratulations Nana!

Thanksgiving
This may be a little early but I'll ask anyways..... Does anyone have their plans for Thanksgiving '08 in place?
Since the A&M vs. UT game will be played on Thanksgiving, does that mean the majority of the family will be at the game? If so, Cody and I may go the the Campbells again for Thanksgiving and come to Christmas in Temple. But, if everyone is going to gather together and watch the game on TV we'll come at Thanksgiving. There is no hurry to decide your plans, I just thought since the subject came up, I would ask.
See most of you this weekend at the TC game. Go LEOPARDS! :)

Nate - He is a good guy
Many thanks to Nate and Melissa last night. We went to BJ's for dinner to celebrate Melissa's "29th" birthday. We had a fantastic dinner and excellent company! Then to our surprise Nate picked up the check for all of us!!! We were all humbled by this generous move. Thank you Nate and Melissa, it was a lovely dinner. The only thing missing was Nelwyn taking pictures with her disposable camera saying, "you will thank me 50 years from now".
Melissa ...as you lead the way into the 30's, what is another one of Nelwyn's famous sayings....? "There is something to look forward to in every decade. " Does everyone agree?
Happy Birthday, Melissa
