"A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society." -Billy Graham

It appears that there aren't too many fathers that get on here and read this so if you have a father, husband, brother, son or in-law that you feel has been a good father figure, relay the message...

I just wanted to wish all of the fathers in our family a Happy Father's Day. To my Dad in particular...I love you and you have been a consistent, loving, solid, strong, loyal, courageous and selfless influence in my life. You and mom have had unwavering faith and for that, I am thankful. It is because of you two that I have the foundation of faith, morals and values that I do. I know, I know. I didn't always act like it...but I came back around to what you had instilled in me.

Happy Father's Day JJ,

Meliss

Melissa, what a precious comment about Jerry and your Mom. You are a perfect example of Prov. 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." Gran

Oh, Melissa, how sweet! I will comment for Dad and me since he will need to learn how to post! I did show the blog to him last night, and he was very touched. We are very proud to be the mom and dad to you and Matt both! I think the 4 of us have learned so much from each other, and the Lord blesses us with exactly the children he picks out for us! For that, I am so thankful!
Happy Father's Day to all of the fathers in our family! I think you all are awesome!

What a great way to say thank you to your parents, Melissa! Happy Father's Day to everyone out there. As Gary said this morning at church, dads have a very tough and important job. I am so thankful for all of you!
