Hi Family -- I'm back from a wonderful 2 weeks vacation with my family in Florida. The first week with Joel's family was great! The mountain scenery of North Carolina was fabulous -- beautiful autumn leaves! The log cabin was perfect--a big front porch with rockers and a swing overlooking the mountains. Having morning coffee there and playing "Old Maid" cards with Gracie and Jake (somehow I always ended up being the old maid!) -- what a treat! The second week with Kyle's family was also great! I got to see soccer practice, skateboarding at Van's Skateboarding Center, Karate lessons, a school play at Daniel's school, a Fall Festival at Nick and Ben's school where castles were attacked with water balloons, and I got to eat some of two birthday cakes since Nick and Ben turned 11 years old while I was there. What a fabulous trip! I am indeed blessed!!! P.S. I also got to visit Gracie and Jake's school and meet their teachers. I'm very proud of all 5 of my Florida grandchildren! One more comment: although I got back late Saturday evening, my luggage and make-up kit didn't get back until Monday night so I didn't look too good Sunday and Monday!----But ---- did that ruin my wonderful vacation? NO!NO!NO! What wonderful memories I have. Thank you, LORD!

Sounds wonderful. Next time I might go with you and let the grandchildren take care of our responsibilities here (if you get what I mean, Kirby).

That sounded like a fantastic vacation, Nelwyn! What fun to be able to spend some quality time with all five kids. I am so glad you had a nice trip!
