As you remember, Melissa posted about the answered prayer for the rental of their house a couple of months ago. There was a sweet old man that was going to rent it for his son and daughter-in-law.They held the house for him until his son was to get home from Iraq in August. They passed up opportunities to rent it during that time but had committed to the man to hold it for him. The week before his son and family were to move in, his daughter-in-law found out that she has cancer. They are going to remain in San Antonio for the next couple of years while she takes chemo. Obviously, our hearts go out to their family, but the house was now up for rent again. A few weeks ago, a young man committed to renting it and even had his employer (a reputable pharmaceutical company) send a letter to Melissa saying that they would be paying his moving expenses. She received what looked like an authentic cashier's check (even her bank could not tell if it was real or not), but a few days before he was to move in, he called her and said that he needed her to wire him the money that his employer had overpaid. They had made out the cashier's check for a couple of thousand more than needed. Luckily, Melissa was suspicious and to make a long story short, the whole thing was a scam. Again, they passed up some other opportunities to rent it during the time all of this was going on. As of now, it is for rent again, but school has started so that takes away the opportunity with college kids, and Melissa and Nate are paying 2 mortgages!! Please make this a serious matter of prayer!! They obviously need to rent it very soon!

This will be top on my prayer list!
Two house payments would be horrible! I'll continue praying.Nana 1
I truly believe that Satan knows the Lord has plans for Nate and Melissa that will glorify God so his attacks on them seem to have intensified. However, the Lord is faithful, and He does hear our prayers.
We will be praying for you guys!
You will stay at the top of our prayer list.
