Military Coin

Okay as most of you know I was given a coin the other day by the Comanding General of Ft Hood. I was teaching an aquatics class and this silver haired man came up. I thought he was an officer there to check up on one of his soldiers. I introduced myself and shook his hand and proceeded to tell him about the classes. Then I invited him to join the class and promised him a good work out. I had NO IDEA I was asking a 3 star General to join a swim class. After the class was over I looked more closely at the coin and read "Commanding General" I still didn't get the connection. It wasn't until I showed it to one of the active duty soldiers that I realized the significance of the coin. Oh well ignorance is BLISS.

Did he decide to join your swim class?

Kim, I'm impressed -- not only is the coin beautiful, but the "Presented by the Commanding General for Excellence" is impressive and well deserved. (Of course, your family has known for years that you deserve the mark of excellence in many areas!) Thanks for sharing the incident with us and showing us the coin. You should have it framed so nothing will happen to it. I'm proud of you! Nana 1

Although I do have to say I am a little disappointed that the pictures of the coins were not accompanied by pictures of the house!!
