Anyone need a dog?

Lee and Sally found a great looking male black lab about a week and a half ago near Lee's Mom's house in Temple. It looks to be about 8 mths - 1 year old and about 50 lbs or so. It is a really sweet dog and had a collar but no tags. They held it for a couple of days and posted signs that they found the dog, but there were no calls. They then took it to the Temple animal shelter with instructions to call before they put it down if no one adopts him. Unfortunatly the shelter has 65 dogs and not enough space to keep all of them. They promised Lee they would give him a couple of days to find someone before they took any action. Sadly enough, they called yesterday and thus this post.

I'm guessing no one in the family needs a dog, but if you know of anyone looking for a dog there is a picture attached. He is at the Temple Animal Shelter at 31st street and Ave M just (on the other side of 31st from the Gober Party House and Santa Fe Hospital). Please give Sally a call to let her know someone is taking him (972) 955-9304.

This was such a sweet puppy! When we got to Sally & Lee's house last weekend, he was already following Lee's commands and he had only been there for a few hours overnight. He is soooo cute, too! A family would be lucky to have him :) Pass this on!!!

Alana, ignore this message--Mother!
He looks adorable though. Kirby, your yard is bigger than ours.

Just so everyone knows, this sweet puppy was featured on KWTX morning news this morning! The email traffic that began because of Sally & Lee's concern ended up getting to Emily Matthews, who volunteered to have the Temple Animal Shelter on her segment. Hopefully he will find a good home soon!

We got a big kick of the film clip. The city animal control guy reminded me of PD Fitch from "Greater Tuna". Hope this good looking dog finds a loving home...soon. Let us know the outcome.
