DAY 1
This was a rough day. Mainly, because it was a day of just traveling. The plane ride was not as enjoyable as past plane ride to Germany. The main reason for this, was that this plane did not have personal video entertainment monitors in the seat in front of you. Instead it had several community video screens for certain sections of the plane. The reason the personal entainment screens are better is because: they have a full list of movies, games, music, and tv shows that you can choose from, but with the community one you didnt get to choose what was shown.
Since the entaiment wasn't that great, I decided that I should try to sleep. This didn't fare to well, either. I spent most to the time fidgeting around trying to get comfortable, rather than sleeping. When I did finally manage to fall asleep, it would be in really awkward postions that ended up leaving my back sore.
DAY 2
The trip has not started out on the best note. My back is sore from the horribly uncomfortable airplane seats. I hardly slept on the plane, so I'm extremely tired. I have a soar throat, and on top of all that I just got a sinus infection.
But all it all its not so bad. The first town were staying at has rediculously pretty countryside, and it's pleasant to just get to walk around the town and enjoy the scenery.
DAY 3
Well today's start has been night and day different from yesterdays. My back isn't sore, my nose is bearable, and I'm rested.
I woke up around 5:30ish, which wasn't that bad, because I had to went to sleep at around 7ish. Well when I woke up, I started on my fitness kick that I decided I was going to start, since I was gonna so much free time.
I started out doing push ups and sits up. This wasn't enough, so I put on some clothes and shoes and went out for a run. Let me tell you, this was probably the best run I have ever had. What made it so great was the weather and the scenery. The weather was a cool 55 degress, which was nice cause I didn't sweat. Oh man, was the scenery was incredible. The place where were staying is a town that has a castle in it. So this morning, I decided to make my run just on the inside of the wall. Well the castle sits on a hill top over looking a river, so the whole run I got to see amazing countryside. I even stopped half way through my run, just to soak up the beauty (but also to kill some time, cause I had another hour and half till breakfast). The view I saw was the sun rising over the hill tops with steam rising up from the river at the bottom of the valley.
The rest of the day has been nice as well, we had a good breakfast and a real nice walk around town. Now, were back at the hotel for a few hours and probably till we go out to dinner tonight.
Oh, I would take a few pictures and post them, but my mom's camera battery is dead and the charger wont work for some reason. Tomorrow I will just use Henry's camera, and if I can figure out how to get them on this computer and post them, then I will.

Sorry for some of the bad grammar. I was just going to send this to a few people, and then I decided to just post it to the blog.
Tanner, what a joy to hear from you! The sunrise run makes all the other discomforts seem small. The scenery sounds wonderful and inspiring. If I had been there, I would have gotten up at 5:30 with you and jogged right along beside you (or listened to your beautiful description when you returned!) Keep us informed. As always, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Say hello to Henry. Love you (you know how much), Nana 1
Tanner, It's great to hear about your trip as it is taking place. You are getting to see places some people never get to see in a whole lifetime. Germany is beautiful. Send pictures if possible. Tell Henry "Hi." Betsy
Tanner, the night before you left, Henry showed us some places on the computer where you were going to be. They were absolutely beautiful!! I can't wait to see pictures if you can post them! Have a great time, and tell Henry hello!
I know that charger will work. The battery has to sit a certain way ..Look at the (+) and (-) indicators on the charger .
Tanner, I'm glad your back is feeling better. I'm jealous of your morning run in Germany. (My runs consist of a treadmill and a gym, doesn't have quite the same appeal to it!) Can't wait to hear about all the places you are going to get to visit over the next few days! Please keep us posted.
Love you! ~ Tara
That sounds "Awesome". There's nothing better than a great run with inspiring scenery. Can you Skype from there? If so we should set up a time so I can see where you're staying.
Thanks for the update, Tanner! I hope the rest of your trip is fun. Post some pictures if you can! This is a fun way to keep up with you on your trip :)
