Physically Fit

So...today goes down as a very sad day for me as I started my first session with a personal trainer and realized how completely out of shape I am. Things I could have done without breaking a sweat in college were, today, causing my legs to give out underneath me. Mom, I know you'd understand. I went in today so excited to start this process and left wanting to personally do bodily harm to my trainer.

Here are my goals...to lose 10-15 lbs, increase my endurance, tone my muscles and take on a healthy diet. I promise to keep all of you updated on my progress as I know you all will be dying to hear!

Was one of the exercises your trainer had for you throwing bread to seagulls? I've heard that one is a good one and can make you arm sore for weeks.

Melissa, you look beautiful just the way you are. I hope your other sessions go better than today. Those trainers are tough!

Mary Helen, I am waiting for the day you(and Nate) cuss someone out. You are too nice.

Ok...I'm just kidding. You are very sweet to say that. I really just wanted to get "healthy" you know? I always feel better when I am exercising and eating right and I want to be able to keep up with these kids. Ava wears me out:)

I totally understand. It is always nice to feel good about yourself because you are staying healthy. I should be doing the same thing! Tell Nate and the girls hello from us :)

I will. We need to all plan a trip to Temple at the same time so that we can swim with the kids at Gran's and grill burgers or something. We can't wait until Thanksgiving before we all see each other again!!

I agree! That would be really fun. Summer is right around the corner, so let's do it sometime soon! I know we will be in Temple for Taylor's graduation, but I don't know when that is yet. It will probably be at the end of May.

Melissa, I have a solution for your sore muscles. Just set your goals high, and then forget about them! It has always worked for me!

Better yet, I am waiting for the day that Nate and Mary Helen cuss each other out!! Wouldn't that be something?
