Ok, so last week I was complaining about how uninteresting my life is right now. Well finally I have a story to tell...
This weekend Wilson (my dog) became very ill! Friday nigh he had a little cough, which (during the middle of the night) developed into nausea. He threw up a couple times. Once on Cody's neck while he was sleeping. Cody immediate woke up yelling and completely grossed out! Me being the sweet wife that I am just started hysterically laughing! Cody didn't think it was as funny as I did. Sat. morning Wilson continued to "have nausea" So, I took him into the vet. They gave him 3 shots, and sent us home 2 medications. The bill came out to be $142!! As the day cont. he just seemed to get worse, he wouldn't eat, sleep, he developed a really bad cough, and would hardly get up. Cody and I were really scared for him, so we took him to an Emergency vet about 11:30 Sat. night. They thought he had some kind of respiratory infection. The ER vet gave him another shot and some medicine to treat his cough, that was $180!! Wilson cost as much Sat. as he did when we bought him! But I am happy to report he is recovering quite nicely.

Oh my goodness, Tara. What a weekend! I am glad Wilson is doing better. I can't imagine waking up to a dog throwing up on your neck. I think I would have laughed, too! We have our alarm activated and it always makes me feel safe when I am home alone or when we are asleep. Hopefully the robber won't come back again anyway. I hope this next weekend is a little less eventful!
Tara, that exhausted me just reading it! Poor Wilson! I'm glad he is better. You know, Jerry always slept with a baseball and a few golfballs in his nightstand drawer in case someone broke in. There was nothing kept on my side of the bed...I guess I was just supposed to stay out of the way! Anyway, glad all of you are safe!
That's terrible. Maybe you can teach Wilson to throw up on any robbers that come in instead of Cody's neck.
Oh My WORD!!! Your father use to sleep with a baseball bat and balls under his side of the bed. I like your idea of setting the alarm.
