The Fish that didn't get away!

This past weekend I went down to Matagorda on the Texas coast with one of my good buddies, Spencer, to go fishing and here are a few of the things we caught:

Tanner:
-40 inch TROPHY Red Fish weighing in the neighborhood of 25 lbs (I'm wearing a blue shirt)

F.Y.I- this fish is currently at a taxidermist getting cleaned and mounted, so I can hang it on my living room wall for many years to come!!
-42 inch Black Drum weighing about 28 lbs(I'm wearing a yellow shirt)
-27 inch Black Drum
-7 to 8 lb Gafftop

Spencer:

-42 inch TROPHY Red Fish weighing about 26lbs
-30 inch Hammerhead Shark
-18 inch Flounder
-10 inch Mangrove Snapper
ALL we caught a lot of other fish that were just not captured by the camera. All in all this is by far the best fishing trip I have had in years!!!

Looks like you're walking away from that trip with some great fish stories!

You'll have to post pictures of you're trophy fish once you have it mounted!

As Ava would say ...those fish are AWESOME!!! I bet Alana's arms would have been tired reeling in you catch. Did you save any to eat? Someday I would love to tag along and try my hand at fishing.

Tanner, what fish!!! Looks like you and your friends are having a great end-of-summer fishing trip. Everything does grow bigger in Texas (including fish)! See you soon. I hope you looked up at that beautiful sky while you were fishing and remembered what I have told you since you were a little boy fishing in Bird creek! Nana 1
