(FYI... A data center is a secure location for web hosting servers. Data centers are designed to assure that the servers and the data housed on them are protected from environmental hazards and security breaches.
Cody's role in the data center is to find the land/space, talk to the city (about zoning, tiff/grants, etc.), negotiate with the electical company on energy prices, have the building built if neccissary (they are using an exsisting building in Waco), and purchase all the equipment to hold the data. I know there's alot more to it than that, but it quickly gets too techincal for me to understand.
When the data center is ready for tenants, they'll turn the building/project over to Clearview (the other company in the article). Clearview is an IT outsourcing company, who will manage the tenant's data. Cody's company is VERY close to this point, so he's really excited.
WAY TO GO, CODY! :)
