New Addition

I have a new addition to my family! I adopted a full blood white Lab from the Waco Humane Society. She is approx. 2 years old and housebroken. Her name is Bella and I absolutely love her!

Covered in Snow!

As most of you might already know, Dallas was totally covered in snow beginning yesterday morning. It stopped falling late last night, but everything is still covered. I believe the total snowfall was around 12 1/2 inches. I thought you might like to see some pictures of our winter wonderland. It truly is beautiful and so fun for most of us who do not get snow at home very often!

HAPPY 600!!

Congratulations Coach Johnson!!

Last night Kirby/Dad clenched his 600th career win, with an 88-76 triumph over Ranger. (That's Hall of Fame Material right there!! ) When speaking with my dad last night he said "it means I've been doing this a long time." But I think we can all agree it means he's good at what he does!

You are an amazing coach, and a wonderful leader. "The godly walk with integrity; blessed are their children who follow them." Proverbs 20:7 You have touched so many young men's lives, and influenced them to be better players on and off the court! Your 600 wins is proof that you have worked in harmony with your players and inspired them to be their best!

We are so proud of you!!!

It has been a while since anyone has posted on the blog. Is anyone else wanting to see pictures of baby Betsy?! Melissa, I know you are busy, but when you have time, we would love to see her sweet little face (as well as her sisters).

Tyler and I were blessed to spend some time with Jenna this past weekend and thought you all might like to see a few pictures of her also. Hope everyone is doing well!

Christmas Cinnamon Roll Bake-Off

Merry Christmas Family and Friends,

It is time for the annual Christmas cinnamon roll bake-off. Last year we baked a record number … 80 pans and raised $2700 for Ralph Wilson Youth Club! Of course every year we try to beat the prior year’s record, but it is in God’s hands. This year I have some extra help from some very special Christmas angels …Tara Campbell, Mary Helen Johnson, Sally Armstrong, Melissa Mullins and baby Jenna Armstrong (guest appearance expected). We have increased our invitation list so we are asking that you take only one pan per family.

Who: You are cordially invited to come by the house for a fresh pan of cinnamon rolls. Hot coffee and cider will be available if you want to stay and visit a while. We love seeing each of you and visiting while we work. Please don’t mind the Christmas chaos.

What: Fresh out of the oven…Our famous cinnamon rolls (We are shamefully prideful). You can pick out the pan with just the right shape, color and frosting. (Mary Helen likes LOTS of frosting andTara frosts them hot so icing soaks through).

When: Monday, December 7th. I will have a batch or two ready by 7:30 am, but more will be available by 10:00 AM. The doors will be closed at 10:00 pm, so come by after work, on your lunch break, or whenever.

Where: The Johnson House - 2606 Brooklawn Drive (just follow your nose).

There will be a wrapped Christmas box on the table for donations (let the Christmas Spirit lead you). Ralph Wilson’s Youth Club will be the recipient this year.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank the Lord for keeping Kim/Mom safe yesterday. And to pray for the families of the fallen and the wounded.

Thanksgiving

I know, I know. Thanksgiving is still five weeks away. However, I don't know about you but I do know that five weeks in my house feels like five days. It will go fast!

I thought I'd just get a dialogue going on what everyone needs to bring for food. I thought I'd bring the green bean casserole and pumpkin pecan crumble (a dessert).

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the Johnson's for Thanksgiving!!
